I was perusing Paper Crave today when I came across an amazing link to a collection of Handlettered Logo’s from defunct Department Stores by Christian Annays.

What a walk down memory lane Bullock’s, Buffams, and my childhood favorite Lipman’s. What an amazing find and very inspiring!

OK so it’s no big secret that I love anything with birds (but of course stationery with birds would be my favorite). I recently added these beauties from Just Eleanor to my collection. I love the modern edge to the traditional theme and the beautiful use of color. A well known animal illustrator, Eleanor has many other great designs to choose from (other than birds LOL).

OK so who can’t love a bat with a bowler hat flying with a bottle of wine (I hope he’s on his way to my house)! I love the humor of the Greenwich letterpress cards.

A running devil with a Happy Halloween love note…how sweet! I love the style of this card from Inkadinkadoodle, it’s super fun!

And a parting bit of autumnal loveliness also from Inkadinkadoodle I love this autum acorn card..perfect for fall or a Thanksgiving greeting!

I do love finding fresh new letterpress printers and was delighted to run across Eric Leland’s Manufactory! I have a tendency to run a little behind and I also love any animal themed cards (especially when they are wearing hats!) so the Turtle birthday card is perfect for me!

Also the Happy Birthday as a cake is so colorful and fun I love it! I can’t wait to see what Eric comes up with next!…

Saturn Press from the beautiful Lewis & Clark in Montecito, Ca…

The other day I was shopping around on Coast Village Road in Montecito, Ca with a pal and enjoying a fun sunny day.

We went into my favorite store Lewis & Clark and I found these exquisite letterpress cards from Saturn Press.

I love birds and these are just perfect in every way! Although they are not on the L&C website I suggest a trip in to pick up some for yourself, this store has a plethora of items that you will not be able to live without!

The last time I was in LA I swung by the ever adorable Sugar Paper in the equally adorable Brentwood Country Mart.

Among other things that I picked up were these gorgeous “THANKS” thank you cards of their own making.

The foil pressing is beautiful as are the colors. Perfect, classic and modern style at the same time for a man or a woman!

While in London for a few days I was shopping on Bond Street (I’m glad that global recession thing is over for the British LOL) I popped in to Smythson for a little treat.

I picked up these gorgeous and sweet Swallow note cards… you can save yourself a trip to London and order them here.

In the back where the stationery is located they have an amazing little room of a museum with examples of stationery from the 1800′s on. They also have seals and examples of royal crests…truly spectacular for someone as obsessed with ephemera as I am!

They also have a sample of the George Falconer stationery from the movie “A single man” which I blogged about when the movie came out in January of 2010 (one of my most viewed posts BTW). I was so excited to snap the pictures but also a little nervous as I’m sure I was not supposed to be (hence the poor quality).

The lovely Cortina Paper in Amsterdam

On my Latest European tour a few weeks ago I was shopping in the very charming “9 Streets” area of Amsterdam and found a wonderful little stationery shop called “Cortina Paper”. I had looked it up before I got to Amsterdam and was so happy that it was around the corner from my lovely hotel The Pulitzer.

I picked up a few of these beautiful recycled note books from the Italian maker arbos. I love the mottled texture of the cover, the colors, and also that the printing is in Italian…too fun!

Exquisite Shilouette cards from Della Carta… in letterpess!

You may remember the post that I did a while ago on the beautiful Silhouette cards that the very talented Kathryn Pordorsky of Della Carta made for me. Well she has out done herself and printed them in letterpress for me!

The originals were gorgeous but the texture and color of the letterpress version is breathtaking (I know they are only note cards… but it was a life changing moment when I opened the box). Kathryn’s style of calligraphy is all her own and adds so much sophistication to an already sophisticated piece of art.

Of course calliagraphed return address is the icing on my cake!
